Scott Ballin | Founder & CEO

Scott started his promotional career when he joined Milton Samuels Advertising Agency, Inc. (MSA) in 1991, after successfully building and selling several entrepreneurial businesses. Scott was brought to MSA to round out the agency's service offerings, by launching an in-house promotion division. This small division provided clients with an integrated mix of marketing disciplines within the promotional realm, strategy Scott termed, "complementary marketing." Clients that benefited from Scott's complementary marketing included Baileys Irish Cream, DiSaronna Amaretto, The Weather Channel, Lavazza Coffee and Crunch Fitness. In 1997, Scott Spun off from MSA and introduced his promotion agency, B-12.

The agency's core competencies expanded beyond traditional promotion capabilities to include strategic planning and branding, guerrilla/event marketing, and marketing technologies. With a client roster that grew exponentially, B-12 began to gain considerable attention and industry acclaim, including recognition from Promo Magazine as an industry "Hot Shop" in 1999. In January 2000, B-12 was approached and acquired by Aspen Marketing Group, the largest privately held marketing services company in the nation.

After leaving Aspen Marketing in 2002, Scott agreed to a five year non compete. During those five years he built several successful business models, but was soon lead back to his passion by founding Tilt in 2008
